Today was hard, but I have to admit...I'm really beginning to like it. Well, maybe like is a strong word...but I'm considering signing up for phase II once my six weeks have concluded. YIKES! Don't quote me on that...I still have three weeks left...but hey...it really can become addicting.
I have an exercise for you exercise-phobes to try. I already challenged Shana to the "Dying cockroach" in which she agreed was difficult...so now give this one a shot.
Lay flat on your back on the floor with your hand underneath your bum. Cross your left foot over your right knee. Lift your right knee towards your chest, bringing your butt cheeks off the floor slightly. Do that fifty times on each leg. Your abs will burn...I promise! Enjoy!

Week Three: Day Two
OUCH! Do you remember what Tuesdays are? Cardio day. The absolute most-dreaded day of the week!! Today was not just a cardio day though, today was cardio/triceps/chest. Because word never got back to Instructor Richins that I showed up on Monday, he decided to make Tuesday a "Make up from HELL" day. We ran, uphill, fast, for long periods of time while being pulled off the treadmill occasionally to lift weights and jump up and down with a 20-lb medicine ball which may not seem like a lot to you, but try it...I dare you!
Weigh in is in six days and I'm getting nervous about what kind of results I'll see...or not see. The diet is getting easier in some ways and much more difficult in others. For instance, the cravings for Diet Coke are nearly gone...I'm quiet satisfied with water, water, and water. On the flip side, I'd kill for a donut and a slice of pepperoni pizza right now, and just about every second of the day. I'm growing a little tired of meat for breakfast, protein for snacks, and meat again for the latter two meals. Any suggestions?

Week Three: Day One
Well, I followed through. I got up early on Saturday and I ran/walked my little heart out, completely voluntarily. Go me!
Today, being labor day, the instructor took the day off but informed us of a bleacher run going on at Riverton High School at 7am. Guess who showed up....me! It was me and an owner...just the two of us running for an hour. Holy bullets of sweat! But I was proud of myself and so should you be. I mean, two days of voluntary asthma-attack-inducing strain in one weekend...that never would have happened three weeks ago.
Woot!
